In response to a serious lack of women in computer science, GirlTECH
works with teachers to promote the participation of girls and
women. During GirlTECH's initial two-week training period, held
each summer at Rice University in Houston, Texas, participating
teachers from the Houston area receive intensive technology training
and explore innovative teaching strategies that impact gender
equity in the classroom.

a Debian based free and open-source GNU/Linux software. Our main
role will be along the lines of supplementing and being the stepping
stone toward the larger Ubuntu-Linux world.
