Womens lingerie offers a far greater choice of styles than men's.  Women obviously have the choice of two separate garments when it comes to underwear, unless they choose an all-in-one garment such as a body.   Men only have one garment to worry about - a pant - and the styles for this are relatively limited.

On the high street and the internet, women's lingerie is readily available with a host of styles and brands on offer.  Retailers stock a cross-section of underwear for all occasions from flirty and sexy to functional and practical.  The numerous styles and ranges available can cover a multitude of situations and tastes.

Bras come in all colours from the ubiquitous black and white to the seasonal colours of the moment.  Enhancing bras, such as padded and push-up, give confidence to the wearer whilst pretty, feminine bras can add sophistication to an outfit. Various bras with a specific function include styles such as halter neck, strapless and backless which allow women to wear different style dresses and outfits, whilst still being invisibly supported.  Briefs or pants for women also come in an array of shapes and sizes.

The trend in recent times has been for thongs which give a seamless look under tight fitting garments. However, fashion demands change all the time and women can choose from standard briefs, hipsters, shorts, clear strap thongs and control briefs to name a few.   From the smallest sexy thong to the largest control knicker, women's lingerie has developed as demand for more specific styles has increased.

Women today do not require underwear just to wear under their clothes, they require a wardrobe of lingerie which is just as important as their outer garments.  Womens lingerie has a function whilst being fashionable and the vast number of different designs and styles in the market place today reflects this.
